A solid flavored amber ale but a little bit of a flat body and semi-bitter aftertaste keeps this beer off my dance card.
What Should You Do With It? Consider Trying the Beer
A comparatively smooth IPA with an interesting almost creamy body. This is a nice IPA that offers a lot of positives but does not quite keep up with the heavy hitting IPA's on the top of my list.
I have seen the other reviews about Eternal Flame and I am very surprised. This beer is hard to palate, anywhere, anytime. I love Capital Brewery (been there many times) but this is simply not a beer I can imagine anyone giving a trophy to.
What Should You Do With It? Dump the Beer
What is good? What is quality? The question has plagued man for thousands of years. What I do know is that this beer is not going to answer that question.
A pretty basic Octoberfest marzen with an aggressive back end. It is decent but certainly nowhere near the best fall seasonal I have had this year.
Furthermore is always on my Wisconsin based radar and they have a couple true works of genius in their beer catalog. This one however, with it's almost overbearing yeast nose and acidic aftertaste, did not make my "to drink," list.
A blueberry flavored amber ale that does a few things right but overall is kind of fractured in its flavor.
Good body, nice flavor, and a little bit of an abrasive aftertaste. Overall a decent attempt by Lakefront that does not win any trophies.
An interesting beer in a lot of ways. I was fortunate enough to find it on Nitro in a local pub. But out of a bottle I may hesitate.
While I see its appeal for coffee lovers, this beer is little more than a one and done desert beer for me.
