For me, this is about as smooth and gentle as a stout gets. It is not over ridden with coffee, chocolate, smoke, or anything else. That may be a compliment in your mind and it may not. But I like Big Slick more than a little.
What Should You Do With It? Praise the Beer
A wonderfully refreshing citrus flavor and clean citrus/mango aroma make this APA a pleasure to drink. It is fun, refreshing, and smooth...just perfect for summer...or pretty much anytime.
I have seen the other reviews about Eternal Flame and I am very surprised. This beer is hard to palate, anywhere, anytime. I love Capital Brewery (been there many times) but this is simply not a beer I can imagine anyone giving a trophy to.
What Should You Do With It? Dump the Beer
A really nice beer that is easy to drink, delicious, and perfectly balanced. My guess is that if you claim to like IPA's you cannot find much to dislike about this one.
I am a lover of IPA's and this one is on the top of my list. This is a delicious journey through hop-land and I am on board.
What Should You Do With It? Savor the Beer
The label on this wax sealed 22oz bottle does not lie but it is incomplete. It is strawberry. it is rhubarb. But it should also say unbelievably good and delicious.
I had high hopes for this beer out of Green Bay but wow I had an extremely hard time finding something to like
A pretty basic Octoberfest marzen with an aggressive back end. It is decent but certainly nowhere near the best fall seasonal I have had this year.
What Should You Do With It? Consider Trying the Beer
A Chai Tea Porter?! Do you really want to drink a porter made with tea spices? You Yabba Dhabi Dooo!
What Should You Do With It? Drink the Beer
Furthermore is always on my Wisconsin based radar and they have a couple true works of genius in their beer catalog. This one however, with it's almost overbearing yeast nose and acidic aftertaste, did not make my "to drink," list.
