Got this one in a rare beer gift pack and the majority of the brews in that collection have been underwhelming. This "Amber Animal," did not WOW me but as I worked my way through the nice looking bottle, it earned my respect.
What Should You Do With It? Drink the Beer
A solid flavored amber ale but a little bit of a flat body and semi-bitter aftertaste keeps this beer off my dance card.
What Should You Do With It? Consider Trying the Beer
A blueberry flavored amber ale that does a few things right but overall is kind of fractured in its flavor.
An extremely well balanced and smooth amber ale which hits a lot of nice notes. This is a good session beer which does not sacrifice flavor for drink-ability.
An interesting beer in a lot of ways. I was fortunate enough to find it on Nitro in a local pub. But out of a bottle I may hesitate.
A very nice crisp lager with good interesting flavors and depth you sometimes don't see in a lager.
A decent quality beer that leaves me on the fence as far as rating. It is good but for me the fat tire has sort of gone to flat tire.
Drinkability is certainly not an issue with this "Vienna style" amber lager. It is smooth both in texture and flavor...but my interest level is pretty low.
